Our favorite songstress Jhene Aiko was a featured performer at New York radio station Hot 97′s Summer Jam Festival 2014 (June 1) at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey. Unfortunately, the moment she stepped onstage things rapidly began to go downhill. First, there were some sound issues prior to her performance and then the microphone fell off the stand just as she was about to sing “Stay Ready (What a Life).”
Despite her mishaps she carried on like a trooper and gained the support of the crowd. Jhene looked beautiful in a sexy sky-blue outfit as she performed her song “Bed Peace (Remix)” with a shirtless Childish Gambino. They played off each other so well that the chemistry between them was unmistakable. After singing her hit “The Worst,” she paid tribute to the late Tupac Shakur with a memorable cover of “Keep Ya Head Up.”
